Good morning birders, The day started well with BLACK-HEADED GULL, AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS, and CLAY-COLOURED SPARROWS seen at the tip. Further north in the park, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was seen in Sparrow Field and a WHITE-EYED VIREO was singing on Redbud trail. YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS were seen on Redbud trail and at Cactus Field. A male CERULEAN WARBLER and WORM-EATING WARBLER were reported near Sleepy Hollow. SOLITARY SANDPIPER, YELLOW-THROATED VIREO, PROTHONOTARY WARBLER, and RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS were all seen in Tilden Woods. There are also reports of the FISH CROW flying around the park.
Outside the park, 6 CATTLE EGRETS and the WHITE-FACED IBIS were seen again at Hillman Marsh shorebird cell. A BLACK-NECKED STILT is present east of Kingsville.
