But then what do you do? Any error message would come out in English. The idea is that, if the error messages are going to come out in English anyway, there's no point to prepending a diagnostic saying "Sorry, these error messages are in English" -- someone who can't read English won't understand it anyway, and the very fact that the error messages are in English is already diagnostic enough.
