Hey guys, I implemented ionice for most of the file operations that BiT does. I tested it slightly on my netbook and it seems to work ok. BiT will still be in the Best Effort I/O scheduling class but it will be the lowest priority in that class.
I also did a change to save the config file with each backup. I recently had to reload my PC and I wished I backed up my config file. Eventually I want to work a feature into BiT where, when you choose a backup location BiT will detect that backups already exist and ask if you want to load the most recent config file... but that will come later. Oh, and I saw this blog post where the author really liked BiT except for the fact that I did not support network backups, so he started his own project: http://www.oak-tree.us/blog/index.php/2009/08/07/time-drive1 I'm currently on vacation, but I'll check in from time to time, - Best regards, Richard On Wed, Dec 9, 2009 at 11:28 PM, Dan <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > I was thinking about ionice.
