I would suggest the removal of archives from previously checked out
versions.
If I checkout a svn (or other repository) using the ${AUTOREV}
functionality, all archives created by an fetch before are left in the
download area. This older archives aren't necessary and wasting space.
So this could be a solution:
- scm announces an update
- existing (previous) archive is deleted
- scm will be updated
- new archive will be created
As I am not knowing python, I am not able to enhance bitbake in this
way.
