If you have been building a copy of bitc, you may now need to run "make
nodepend" before your next build will succeed. A local copy of a
(subset) libsherpa has been added to the BitC tree. This should help if
you are trying to build under MacOS.

I plan to migrate most of our dependence on BitC to use of the boost
libraries instead. Does anyone know of a reason *not* to do this?

The only thing I know of in boost that we might want to use that is
remotely complicated is their traced pointer class.
