I've found that conditionals are an excellent way to explain laziness to 
imperative programmers. They've already been using it for years! :)

None off hand. I'm only passingly familiar with the intricate details of 
Lisp/Scheme, and it seems like his views rely on some subtleties of 
being in that context. I haven't read the paper yet, but I can check it 
out and get back to you.
