I'm still puzzled about the desire to implement a library that can avoid heap allocation in this way. A random thought just occurred to me:
SQLite gets integrated into Java systems with some regularity. Does the fact that it can be configured to perform its allocation on the stack convey some advantage for this type of use? shap
