Agreed, but I'm not sure of the relevance.

Mono reliability has improved a lot of late. In any case, I didn't mean to
suggest that Mono was the right final target. I only meant to suggest that
targeting CLR as a runtime would allow us to put off some of the complex
engineering issues that you correctly identified.
