Gabriel:

Thanks a lot for jumping in here. I haven't had a chance to explore
constant expressions in C++ much, yet. Mainly because I try to keep my code
within the bounds of what's widely implemented in stable form. My
impression about constant expressions in C++ is that, like templates, it's
going to take a couple of rounds of tuning in the standard and then some
time to propagate into the implementations in stable form. But I'm looking
forward to that.

In any case, welcome, and I look forward to whatever participation you have
the time to offer.
