Since I'm not sure whether we will even *have* object ids, I'm not sure how
to respond. The real question would be whether EQ type checks over that
reference comparison.

I don't think so. Voyeur interfaces are just as openable as guarded
interfaces. They just have trivial guards. I think it would be better to
keep the two kinds of interfaces as similar in behavior as possible.

I think we should take the question of the object ID notion up separately.
