...for a class of applications perhaps. Like webservers that frequently
tear-down region subsets. Long lived applications with large graph-heaps
are not going to get much out of regions. It's just too easy to come up
with simple pathological examples that whole-region techniques can't do
anything about.

My bets are on either C4, or Ulterior reference counting + pauseless
cycle-finding as a general purpose solution.
