-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hello,
I run several bitcoind full nodes, some accessible only via Tor hidden services and some dual-stack (Tor hidden service + clearnet). Since Tails Linux (https://tails.boum.org/) now ships Electrum wallet by default, I also added support for Electrum-Server, so the Tor Electrum wallet users can benefit of some reliable servers accessible via Tor hidden services. Just one of the nodes won't let me complete the setup. When adding electrum-server, there is also the need to add txindex=1 in bitcoin.conf and -reindex the blockchain (in my setups). I did it on the other nodes with no problem. On the current one, I tried to do it 2 times and it freezes at this stage: { "version" : 90300, "protocolversion" : 70002, "blocks" : 322082, "timeoffset" : -1, "connections" : 41, "proxy" : "", "difficulty" : 29829733124.04041672, "testnet" : false, "relayfee" : 0.00001000, "errors" : "Warning: The network does not appear to fully agree! Some miners appear to be experiencing issues." } At this stage it is not consuming any CPU, while until block 322082 while it was reindexing the previous blocks, the CPU usage was between 90% and 100%. Now it's frozen at block 322082 for over 7 hours. Type: virtual machine OS: Debian Wheezy 64 bit CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5606 @ 2.13GHz (1 virtual core) RAM: 8 GB Bitcoin: bitcoind 0.9.3 installed via git, from github. What are the possible solutions? One would be to delete all the data and let it sync again from scratch with txindex=1 from starters, but still, I would like to figure out, why is this node behaving like this? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (MingW32) iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJU/vw2AAoJEIN/pSyBJlsR3qMIAJzq0N47eXfR3jcDfHhdYl45 X1oKcJhtfEtn5NIdPffnOSEriS78njA3PQcAftWIChtVDXa/nk6XZt0vDnO5ejDW 1VBckVnfQ9pg7ogxrA+CfRgz0MyGIkZZxfXmXyuwCyqV9elSwR4SXDE3xVMu4A95 Ir/aJQXeSeyIm3PnEthlLc/8T1uszZnhNbKWJIov6+NrnIVJv9adsBxwKUDcIFj6 I2Lrp6vYy5nhTzwV/kQQnlXYni23o72FWfWaj6QKy6Y3SNrr0ljF3ZD5xWlwJPiV LdwOWDkFzoa1tQyawmVd9m9BZ34+0VCI9PArYOiYZfgKs1zc2gyRs6sGIFbXaNs= =tiAW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more.
