Well, sorry to have launched this gun debate by getting off John's original topic in my post. I think that we have demonstrated that there are several people on the list who are opposed to guns and in favor of encryption but feel they are logically consistent.
So, i suppose, what i'd really like to know is: does anyone feel that that isn't the case? Also Jud, sorry about the gun-toting-psycho crack, it was actually a reference to a friend of several people on this list who is a gun enthusiast, and goes by the title 'gun toting psycho' at work. I hear he's recently been promoted to 'senior gun toting psycho'. He should be joining the list shortly, although, unfortunately not soon enough to provide some extra support to your side of the debate. :) -Lkb
