Hey all, I just upgraded to the latest version of gnome from ximian today, and i'm really impressed. I was starting to get frustrated with how bad the version that came with Mandrake 8.0 sucked.
If you have some time and bandwith, (and use gnome) I highly recommend upgrading. It looks a lot cleaner, the themes don't all suck, the install was painless, and it runs _way_ faster. To upgrade, as root do: lynx -source http://go-gnome.com/ | sh -Lkb
