ps aux | less

3rd column is % of CPU, 4th is % of RAM

"ps" = "list all processes specified by command line switches/options;
switch a (with no preprended hyphen) = list all processes on a tty; u
(with no prepended hyphen) = user-oriented output format; x (with no
prepended hyphen) = list all processes without a controlling tty.  All
these switches mean something different with a prepended hyphen.  ps has
*zillions* of options for selecting, formatting and outputting lists of
running process.
