Sach, (My first post to the list)
AOl's traffic appears to come fromm about 6-8 IP numbers. I don't know were they are located... I heard Virgina. But it doesn't really matter. this becomes a real pain when you have your load balancers set to be sticky by IP number... One IP number from AOL can kill a webserver. Which is why they should be sticky by cookie or session ID. -e On Sat, 13 Oct 2001, Sach Jobb wrote: > he's reffering to the fact that all of aol's clients go through a proxy > server that's in florida (i think), so it's impossible to tell each > client's individual ip address unless you are on the inside of the proxy. > > this is on of the biggest "challengs" for companies like doubleclick that > get money through demographics. > > cheers, > sach > > On Sat, 13 Oct 2001, John Hunter wrote: > > > > > >>>>> "tack" == tack <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > > > > tack> remember thta all internet traffic from AOL comes from their > > tack> pharm.
