Indymedia.org is interested in putting up some quicktime video on their site (see intentionally-inserted-for-useful-purpose piece of email below). Problem is, they don't have a lot of bandwidth and their server is a little unstable right now, so the video is very jerky and blurry. I don't know the first thing about streaming video online. Does anyone have any suggestions about apps or protocols to research (they're not married to quicktime) that may help improve the streaming?
I mean, I *seriously* don't know the *first* thing about this, so if someone can even point me to some very simple-minded basic stuff to start on, just to get my bearings, I'd be very grateful. So grateful I may even lay off the flames for a while. :) (This emoticon is directed only at Majcher, so the rest of you can ignore it.) Thanks!
