For those of you using emacs to read you mail, you are probably
dissatisfied with the html rendering supplied by w3, slow and hard to
read because it is so excessively font locked.  I just discovered this
on google groups and it appears to work great.  It passes the buffer
to lynx which reformats it as text, and preserves the links.

Add this to .emacs:
(require 'html_to_text)

and save this in your emacs load path:
