Some dudes in kentucky build a linux supercomputer out of old Athlons, not
particularly big news, but what's neat is how they got around the expense
of really fast connections between nodes.

They put a bunch of 100-Tx ethernet cards in each box, and split the
communications between them.  The claim is that 3 100Tx cards will
actually get better throughput than one Gigabit card.
