Got this link from Slashdot, http://www.pbs.org/cringely/pulpit/pulpit20011227.html
It's in reference to KLAT2: http://aggregate.org/KLAT2/ Some dudes in kentucky build a linux supercomputer out of old Athlons, not particularly big news, but what's neat is how they got around the expense of really fast connections between nodes. They put a bunch of 100-Tx ethernet cards in each box, and split the communications between them. The claim is that 3 100Tx cards will actually get better throughput than one Gigabit card. -Lkb _______________________________________________ Bits mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits
