Arg, that was way too long.. I was really tired.. I didn't mean to dump such a monster email to the list..I tried to explain way way too much incidental background crap.. forgive..
Had I been thinking cogently (ie awake), I would have simply asked: 1.. Generally, how vulnerable are externally accessable cisco2620's? Aside from assigning a different management IP, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot else I can do. Im not exactly a cisco guru though (uh, no shit..), so I'm probably missing something.. 2.. Is there any reason to go with an unnumbered-ip WAN ptp if I have plenty of subnet? 3.. Is there any reason why putting a private network connecting the two WAN-facing serial interfaces of the routers is a bad idea - are there any routing benefits to using real IP's or a contiguous network for the WAN segment? not life or death here, I just dont wanna miss any glaring problems with this setup if I can help it.. -d _______________________________________________ Bits mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits
