Thought this was quite a cool job description ::

#!/usr/bin/perl

print "WANTED: Technical Brain (Body optional)\n";

my $requirement =<< END;
Chinwag are looking for a techie. Chinwag runs a whole load of email
lists, including this one, for the new media community in the UK.
Alongside our own publishing, we also help clients develop email
marketing campaigns, surveys, newsletters and all manner of other
email-related bits and pieces for our clients.

Ideally, you'll be comfortable with the following:

Database (MySQL and PostgreSQL)
Perl (above basic level)
Database administration
Apache
Linux
HTML
Experience of building dynamic websites

.and a passing knowledge of

HTML::Embperl
Javascript
Basic XML
Email
TCL
mod_perl
END

my $you =<<YOU
If this sounds like you and you can provide some evidence of having
worked with some of these technologies, we'd like to hear from you. As
you've probably guessed we're not some gigantic corporate in a big glass
office, we're a small, extremely hard-working bunch who are in urgent
need of some technical-flavoured help.

You don't have to be a battle-scarred programmer with 20 years
experience, although it wouldn't hurt, but you'll need the ability to
think on your feet, take charge of the technology, be able to figure
'stuff' out on your own, including devouring manuals whole. If you're
expecting constant and over-bearing supervision, this isn't for you. If
you'd like to get your teeth stuck into some technical challenges, as
well as being able to handle the more mundane stuff and have the
potential to make a real difference to the company, get in touch.
YOU

if ($you >= $requirement) {

Get in touch with us, after a trial period, the initial contract would
be 1-2 months but with the possibility of a more permanent agreement.

Interested? Then email us a CV/resume/details/scripts/anything likely to
convince us you're the person for the job to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

}
