install emacs? <- /me stating the obvious If you do install Cygwin, you can have it also install the openssl/openssh stuff, and instead of opening two putty shells, you can just create an alias or a bash script to do: ssh -L 22:agamemnon:22 erik@megatron and shell into 'localhost' just like with putty's tunneling. Also, here's a tutorial on getting tramp to work on Win2k using putty http://www4.ncsu.edu/~tlroche/plinkTramp.html -Lkb > Also, I am being forced to spend some of my time these days on a windoze > > Thanks! > > E > > -- > Erik Curiel > almost web-engineer/would-be philosopher > > "Now dig this---HAH!" > > --Jimi Hendrix > > > > _______________________________________________ > Bits mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits > _______________________________________________ Bits mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits
