Once, in a land far far away, I was asked to join "the crew". I have worked with the cops a couple of times... but the people they were going after were bad people... not just your everyday hacker... but really bad people. Hijacking trucks, guns, kiddie porn, drugs, you name it.
Bad people... You wouldn't belive how much of this piddly-ass hacking is linked to big-time crime. Having said that... All I had to do to prove my computer skillz was go through the training (a year or so I think), then spend two years at the county jail (that's where all cops fresh out have to 'cut their teeth'), then walk a beat. Then maybe I could do the job they want me for. Ya right. The FBI has no 'experts'. Anyone who knew their shit (or at least had a brain) wouldn't do it. -e E r i c J.
