Umm.. yeah, my best guess is its probably is that dotster or internic etc has determined that something about the contact/snailmail address is bogus, and that is stopping its replication to internic/verisign-grs... this might be increasing the lookup time for the domain first time around.. I can reccomend nothing lamer than just resubmitting the contact info, with perhaps another fake address using at least an extant street and/or zip code.. I could be wrong, often am, of course, just a guess. Didn't know they started verifying addresses but, I guess they are..

by way of dotster, I know they are cheap, but they are the dirtiest auctioneering lamers in the dot-name biz (that seems to be how they really make money, with their auction sister biz, I can't remember the name offhand) replete with nonexistant support and beyond sluggish propogation/response times..But I wont bore you with my own run-in with these guys, except that they kept a certain domain name in limbo for a friggin week till they finally propogated the right info...then even after it was successfully registered, they wouldn't let me transfer it.. yuck..parasites..
