Wow. debian-legal is fascinating. I have a newfound respect for the people that have constructed the debian idealogy. Here, for example, they are arguing about the legal possibility of distributing debian on orange peals, and no one even bats an eyelash (or provides a smiley face to indicate that they are joking):
