Now, the exception is Xterm which don't copy as far as I can tell, but why are you using Xterm when you have a much better terminal emulator written in cocoa (Terminal.app) that copies and pastes just fine?
And what with the tip that Lorin posted (which came in while I was typing this) I think it's ignorant to call it a 'Hippy OS' when it's clear that you can hack it all you want on the command line because it's BSD. Is BSD a 'hippy OS' (and by extension Solaris and other derivatives)? Or does it just have to be not windows to be hippy?
As an aside, we've got a Mac/MacOS X list on gaffle if anybody is interested called Mac10. That way you can ask unixy mac questions in a more focused and informed forum.
tack
I have an OS X 10.3 laptop running X11 and cannot cut and paste from an X11 window to an non X11 window or even to another X11 window.
I've googled a bit and it looks like a known bug, but Erik tells me you guys will likely have a work-around or fix.
