I have it on a spare server, and have installed some monitoring stuff on it to play around with. First difference i noticed was trying to turn off services and i couldnt find any startup scripts in the /etc/rc directories. There are admin tools called svcs and svcadm for monitoring and controlling your services. It all comes under the banner of the predictive self healing, and is somewhat like the djbernstein daemontools package for monitoring other daemons.
