Or, you can skip Napster all together, download an audio stream ripper with CDDB capabilities (and that splits songs on the break), point the ripper to any of a zillion stations listed on Shoutcast.com that broadcast at 128kbps+, and let it go all night.
I set up a box one night to streamrip Digitally Imported, and came back the next morning with a number of complete mix CDs all nicely MP3'd and named for me. A number of streamers play individual songs that a ripper can break up cleanly, also. Effectively the same result but less work; the only real diff is that with this method you have to wait for one of the streamers to play the song you want, instead of picking exactly the one you want as with Napster. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of thorsten Sideb0ard Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 10:49 AM To: The Bits List Subject: [Bits] pirating napster heh, i found this on another mailing list (rumroi): http://blog.kordix.com/marv/archives/000400.html thor -----------------------------------------------------------------------| Highpoint Lowlife Records http://www.highpointlowlife.com/ bitmapped indie-electronic goodness since '01 ------------------------| -----------------------------------------------------------------------| _______________________________________________ Bits mailing list [email protected] http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits _______________________________________________ Bits mailing list [email protected] http://www.sugoi.org/mailman/listinfo/bits
