If you're looking along the lines of buying new & online (a la CDW.ca) then I know a less expensive alternative: www.cendirect.com. They have great prices and I've received nothing less than overnight shipping from them (when the item is in stock). Plus, buying in Ontario means paying no PST (they are in Quebec). The site has a real-time stock checker.

If you're looking to build your own, cendirect is good, but there's the tried and true Canada Computers (www.canadacomputers.com) -- lowest street prices on OEM parts I've seen. Between the 2 of them, you can get everything you need to build a rack mount server by Tuesday (assuming you need some overnight stuff from online).

There is a guy in Richmond Hill, he has an "E-bay store" and sells off-lease Compaq gear. I bought some DL360 and 380 G2 machines there. Very nice, good prices. You can usually buy and pickup the same or next day. They are used, but good shape. You might also try CDW.ca If they have stuff in stock, you could get next day shipping and not have to worry about transit.

I am looking for a supplier within the GTA that sells 1U racks, and/or
completely built 1U systems. Normally I would order these from SUN --
and they are normally delivered within 5-7 business days. Note, that is
"business days" - so I am running out of time.

We have an urgent need for a client in the new week to deploy their
customized voip platform. If customer insists on rack servers, we give
customers what they want -- but if a tower server was the option, would
have made my life a HECK LOT EASIER !!!

If anyone knows of a local supplier, preferably in the GTA, accessible via
TTC -- this is preferred.

Thanks in advance!

Best,
Reza.
