Thanks Phil, That's exactly what I was thinking about. So, I'm starting to experiment with Spark and Openfire in the lab and tie it in with an Asterisk box to see what I can get. If anyone else has done this before, please share.
On another note; has anyone had first-hand experience with Avaya? If so, please share its advantages or disadvantages over Asterisk.
