Maybe this is a silly question, but why doesn't someone make ticketing software around SQL/PHP/IMAP/SMTP? This seems to be a little more portable. I'm sure I will need a ticketing system before long, but I don't run windows on ANY of my machines, and have no plans to do so ever (an old copy of Win2K to program Motorola radios is the only exception).
Is this an issue for everyone else? Would it be worthwhile to develop my own system? -Tim On Sunday 11 November 2007 15:22, David Cook wrote: > VMware/Xen looks like a good one. > > I recognize there are some differences between VMWare (very happy with it) > and Xen (never used it but understand it can be made to virtualize the PCI > bus). > > VirtualPC is from that annoying company in Washington State, right? > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Simon P.
