The November issue of the Open Source Business Resource has just been published and this issue is all about Support. From the announcement:
The November edition of the Open Source Business Resource is now available in PDF and HTML formats at http://www.osbr.ca. The November issue includes three articles from companies which provide commercial support of open source software, a discussion of support as a competitive action, and a review of the Scan project, a project which is improving the quality of open source software. Stormy Peters of OpenLogic discusses enterprise support requirements and identifies the questions to ask your open source support provider. SourceLabs examines the benefits and risks open source poses for firms subject to the Basel II accords. Jason Cote and Julian Egelstaff of FreeForm Solutions propose a method for meeting the unique support needs of Not-for-Profit organizations. Glen McInnis of Non-linear Creations describes the competitive actions carried out by open source firms. David Maxwell of Coverity explores how the Scan project identifies defects in open source code.
