I know this isn't really an Asterisk question, but I have the feeling that a few people on the list might at least have some basic information.
I'm trying to move some DID numbers from a local ITSP to my new PRI, from a local CLEC. Said ITSP is connected to Bell via their PRI. When I send the porting requests to the CLEC I am connected to, it comes back from Bell as "incorrect address or business name". I confirmed these details with the ITSP I am porting from, and re-submitted. I still get "incorrect address or business name". The address the ITSP gave me was the physical location that their OC-3 connection is delivered. Both carriers seem to think there is something wrong with either me, or the other carrier. I called the Bell business office, but I haven't gotten an answer from anyone. Is there some sort of standard that governs local number portability? Does anyone have a contact at Bell in their LNP department? It's a shot in the dark, but I'm sure others have more experience than I do. If you contact me off-list, I can give more detail.
