Our company has been developing an accounting/order entry system for
recording and reconciling purchases made for domain names. It is a mixture
of PERL and PHP.
We have modified the OpenSRS reg_system.cgi script and templates to deal
with:
- affiliate management
affiliates create their own clients and manage them. Sales in the OpenSRS
system are based upon
which affiliate logged in. The affiliates' customer base is displayed in
a dropdown list for easy selection.
- Order Entry/Receivables
All purchases are recorded in an Order Entry database and a Receivables
database.
- Taxation (at present, Canadian GST and PST)
Tax is calculated based on a table of Provinces and their associated
provincial tax rates. Up to 3 levels
of taxation are available. (not that this is needed, but who knows...)
Customization for countries other than Canada will require customization
billed at our hourly PERL/PHP rates.
- payment types (Credit Card, cheques, money orders)
