He should be allowed to post the email. If your staff is saying things or
talking in an appropriate manner in email, it's your problem not his.
Basically what you are saying is that your public forum is great but don't
air the dirty laundry. Email is not private when it is sent to a customer.
Surely anyone who writes an email knows that it is forever and may come back
later. What you are saying is, "We screwed up but don't tell any of our
other customers."

While I understand your frustration, I would encourage you to not post
private email from our staff to mailing lists without their consent. It is
not a good idea, and basic email etiquette suggests that you not do this.
In no way am I asking you to not post the fact that you are experiencing
difficulties. If all else fails, sending issues to our lists will get our
attention. Just try to remember to not post private email to public lists.
