I would say that it depends on what they are. They are certainly worth more (potentially at least) than the .ORGs below. Some characters may not be used much in English, but they are in other languages. The Z for example is used a lot in my own native language, Dutch, as well as in German. The Y is in both more rare than in English. If you have ZNC.COM it may look like rubbish to many. But what if a law firm changes it name to Zuckermann, Norman & Cohen and likes a vanity 3 letter .COM? It is a pity, that domain name speculation is frowned upon, and that the big players have made sure that any name is available to them through the UDRP at low cost. I guess it is because also little people can make money with domains. That shouldn't be allowed, right? Only those who already have the money may make more. This means it is most dangerous to approach Zuckermann, Norman & Cohen to sell ZNC.COM to them. Unless you give it to them very cheap, they will invoke the UDRP, pay $1000 or so to WIPO, and get the name for free. Did any of you hear about the revision of the UDRP that was scheduled for 2000?
