Hi folks, March. 23. 2003 Swerve (Josh Melamed) here. Some of you may know me from the discuss list. I'm an Opensrs reseller and internet strategist/content developer. I'm also a strong supporter of Tibet.
I'm looking to find someone to host some websites i'm developing and trade the hosting services for exposure to your business services on the sites i'm building. I'm hoping to find someone who's been hosting for at least 2-3 years and has rock solid service, wide pipes and burstable bandwidth. Initially, i won't need email services. What you get: I will provide a text link from the bottom left of each main page of each site hosted to your services. Link will say: Site hosted by eg.com. More details. Would be best if your servers were in Central/Eastern Canada/USA. West Coast might work too. Initially, i don't expect alot of traffic/bandwidth use. Over the first 4-12 months my goal is 500-2000 unique viewers per day. Most of the sites will be mini-portals that link into 3-7 main sites. Total # of domains is between 30-60. A virtual server style setup would be good, so i know i'm gauranteed a certain amount of bandwidth if needed and i can add/remove domains without hassling tech support. I know the Ensim system uses software that creates flexibility of bandwidth use between people on the same server. It guarantees a certain # of k per second for each user. The cool thing is that if one of the accounts has very little traffic for a while, then that bandwidth is freed up for other accounts, while still gauranteeing bandwidth if the original account suddenly needs bandwidth. I need approx 300 mb. of diskspace to start (for all the domains) and will probably need up to 500 mb. of diskspace after 6-12 months. If possible, i'd like to use one of my domains as the name for the primary and secondary name servers. My goal is to generate revenue over time, so am open to moving from a barter situation to a paid situation when revenue permits. I'd prefer to set this up with just one hosting company, but will consider spreading it around if that's better for others. If you are a Tibet supporter, then you'll probably like aspects of what i'm up to. Contact me offlist for more details. Please send me details about your setup when you email me. Thanks! Swerve/Josh
