I was thrilled to be there. All of his words were conveyed to me
via his handy notepad. Instead we all crashed and burned in our
own ways before I had decided that I had had enough and left for
Berlin. I love the opening biker movie lines. We could barely
hear the readers who were at times interrupted by a drunken,
literate jock who made loud, hollering yelps as if the on stage
poet were expected to play Free Bird. He was every bit as
depressed in person as his voice seems to project on recordings.
Then when I attempted to upload a song, an error posted, and the
entire post deleted.
He broke a string and soloed all the way through it. And the band
seems to be very serious about what they have to say: every song
on the recording is performed like they were navigating burning
ships or something. Instead we all crashed and burned in our own
ways before I had decided that I had had enough and left for
Berlin. With all the weepy stuff said I would like to present
just three out of many many songs that my band put together.
All of his words were conveyed to me via his handy notepad.
The bass player too was quite young. The poster for the show was
done by Scott Johnson and Amesia Doles.
I was standing near mark Arm and Steve Turner during the other
two sets. The Vox was screaming throughout everysong, while
throwing his git around, like a rapid dog on a long leash.
Thompson put on an hour long folky extraveganza that dwarfed the
prior perfromance by Costello. Events occur in real time on the
web, with a particular attention paid to breaking news, new
members of the cast, interviews with the actors, spoilers and
Kiefer Sutherland. Two wonderful students followed with their
poetry. They recently played a show with Mike Watt and the
Stooges. Drummer Greg Saunier is unbelieveable.
US Tour dates below as well.

Milo disappeared at some point during season one. Thompson put on

Jack Bauer pulls an an injured man from the helicopter before the

they tour with like Wilco, Radiohead and the Flaming Lips.
Good old fun punk from down under.
Add to this scene a beautiful, cloudless SF day. I love the
opening biker movie lines.
The second EP Mothers, Sisters, Daughters and Wives is a bit
softer, oddly enough reminds me of Supertramp at times. It was
certainly not that way because of the musicianship, but instead
it was a sound issue. Instead we all crashed and burned in our
own ways before I had decided that I had had enough and left for
Berlin.
