I looked them up. It was a very popular brand in the 70's and 80's
apparently, especially with European players. The company went belly up
and some new entity bought the subsisting trademark rights. So Torpso
of the 70's and 80's is not the same as the new Torpso. Doesn't mean
the new stuff is bad (there are some NHL'ers using the stuff), but
that's the story.
