"What is it exactly that the V.P. does every day?"
That's a question asked last month by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Now, a month
later, she is John McCain's running mate -- running for the same job, even
though she apparently doesn't know what it entails.
Today, I have a better question: Just who is Sarah Palin? Most Americans
don't know much about her, so help us learn who she is and why John McCain
thinks someone who's spent less than two years as the governor of Alaska
should be Vice President of the United States:

At Americans United for Change, we've already done a little digging, and it
turns out Sarah Palin fits in perfectly with John McCain's backwards energy
policy, disregard for the environment, and cozy relationship with Big Oil.
Palin has argued again and again in favor of oil-drilling in the Arctic
National Wildlife Refuge, despite clear dangers to surrounding wildlife.
This year, Palin sued the federal government for adding polar bears to the
endangered species list, arguing the move would interfere with oil and gas
drilling efforts.
Palin's close relationship with Big Oil fits right in with John McCain's
reckless energy plan: take millions in campaign donations from oil
companies, and in return give them massive tax breaks and free reign to
drill in environmentally sensitive areas.
This is not the path to a future of renewable energy free of our addiction
to oil. Now let us know what you think about Sarah Palin:

John McCain may have chosen a fresh face as his running mate, but the more
we learn about her, the clearer it becomes that Sarah Palin's policies
represent more of the same.
