Friend --
"Kay Hagan has the potential to be an excellent senator for North Carolina."
"Hagan, 55, is a bundle of brains and energy."
"Hagan will give N.C. a better voice in the Senate"
Above is just a sampling of the glowing endorsements four of North Carolina's
largest daily newspapers gave to Kay when endorsing her this past week. The
Asheville Citizen-Times, Charlotte Observer, Greensboro News & Record, and
Winston Salem-Journal all agree -- Kay is the choice for North Carolinians.
Take a moment and read some of the endorsements:

We've always known Kay would be an effective voice in the U.S. Senate. Her
strong record in the state Senate and her commitment to North Carolina are
unparalleled.
What the political pundits and reporters doubted was whether anyone could beat
Elizabeth Dole, but thanks to your support, we've been able to prove them wrong
and get to the position we're in today -- just 22 days from electing Kay Hagan
as North Carolina's next U.S. senator.
But three weeks is an eternity in politics. We can't let up -- not now.
The opposition is slinging mud to distract from Elizabeth Dole's record of
voting with George Bush's failed policies. If you've turned on the TV or opened
your mail in the past few weeks I am sure you have seen their completely false,
negative advertisements.
But no matter how much they spend distorting Kay's record, the truth is black
and white. The Winston-Salem Journal noted how Kay "deserves her share of the
credit" for having "propelled this state to prosperity during a difficult
decade" and how "the budgets she helped write were all balanced and
responsible."
Help spread the word by emailing a few excerpts of the editorials to your
friends. Tell them why you have endorsed Kay.

Every newspaper agreed on one thing. North Carolinians need someone to stand up
for their best interests in the U.S. Senate. The Charlotte Observer hits the
nail on the head:
"North Carolina voters seek three key things from the people they send to the
U.S. Senate: independent thinking, fierce advocacy for the state and tangible
results? Those values are why voters should make a change in the U.S. Senate
Nov. 4?we recommend Hagan. We believe she offers citizens the better hope of
having an effective and independent voice in the Senate. She also offers them a
voice that is more closely attuned to everyday life in North Carolina."
But Kay cannot be the fresh voice in the U.S. Senate without the help of your
voice.
Speak out and forward these endorsements to your neighbors, friends and family
today because it's time we had a senator who put North Carolina first, not
President Bush and the special interests.
