I am always so humbled to have so many thousands of committed Democrats on our
side. Every time we need you, you step up to the plate and get it done. Your
generosity inspires me each and every day.

The evidence of this sweeping change in our politics is everywhere you look.
We've got Democrats running terrifically strong campaigns in deeply red states.
Just look at the polls:
* Kay Hagan is ahead in North Carolina.
* Bruce Lunsford and Mitch McConnell are tied in Kentucky.
* And in Georgia, Jim Martin has roared to within two points of Saxby Chambliss.
The political environment gives us an enormous advantage over these last nine
days, but needing victories in such traditionally Republican states will make
that filibuster-proof majority extraordinarily difficult to attain. Winning
our historic goal is right there for the taking, but we need to get all the
breaks - every last one.
Moreover, the right-wing special interests are desperate to keep their
stranglehold on Washington. They know that a filibuster-proof Democratic
majority will mean an end to the gigantic corporate tax breaks, an end to the
sweetheart deals on regulation, and the demotion of a complicit band of
Republicans.
Republican-allied third party organizations have spent more than $30 million to
defeat Democratic Senate candidates. That's twice as much as they spent in
2006.
The other side will do whatever it takes - including going all negative, all
the time - to cling to the status quo. We are fighting in so many red states,
including one, Georgia, that we added at the last minute. Our resources are
stretched further than ever, but we can't sacrifice anything in our campaign
plan if we're going to win over the last nine days.
