Hello Michael,
The McCain campaign has worn down the press corps. After
weeks of lies and misrepresentations, the press seems to
have given up. They just stopped writing about it when the
McCain campaign is being dishonest.
And, boy, has McCain's team been dishonest. The latest: Sarah Palin
uses a seven year-old radio interview of Barack Obama, and
says that Obama said exactly the opposite of what he really
said!
It's our last chance to ask reporters to expose McCain's
dishonorable and dishonest ways. We've only got 6 days
until the election, and the McCain campaign is banking on
this last, desperate assault of mendacity to slip by before
it can be debunked. So let's do what we can to hurry the
press along on this.
Write a letter to the editor right now calling out the
continued dishonesty of the McCain campaign:

Another smear that has slipped from the press's coverage is this:
The McCain campaign is blasting Obama for meeting with a
Palestinian-American named Rashid Khalidi, while completely
ignoring the fact that John McCain steered hundreds of
thousands of dollars in grants to Khalidi's organization.
Now, to be clear, there seems to be absolutely nothing wrong
with Mr. Khalidi's organization, and I assume the grants were
the right choice. But the rank hypocrisy of the McCain
campaign in trying to spread fear and anger using Khalidi as
a foil is just wrong.
We need to do one final blast of letters to the editor to
remind them all of their duty in reporting the truth about
what's happening.

We've got less than a week to go, and if we work right up to
the finish line, we can win an historic victory. But there's
no time to slack off now; we've worked too hard to get to
this point to let it slip away now.
So please take a moment to fire off a letter to your local
paper and fight for the truth.
