Life after scandal has been a bit rocky for former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Kilpatrick has a job lined up with a Detroit-based software company, but the Wayne County prosecutor’s office is wondering why he has to move to the Dallas area. A judge scheduled a hearing Tuesday on Kilpatrick’s request to travel to Texas for training. Kilpatrick has been hired for a sales job at Covisint, an arm of Compuware Corp. He needs court approval to relocate because he’s on probation for five years and owes $1 million to the city of Detroit. His wife and children already are living in Southlake, a Dallas suburb. Kilpatrick served 99 days in jail for obstruction of justice and assault. He resigned as mayor in September. AP -- "I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." ~Marilyn Monroe --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Black Focus Inc." group.
