board game as learning tool via Black Politics on the Web by The Admin

Parents of a seventh-grade Andover Middle School student have contacted
the Wichita branch NAACP about a Ku Klux Klan board game a student
created for a class project.

The student took it to school as part of a research assignment about
historical figures.

Terica Davis, who is African-American and has a child attending the
school, saw the game displayed at a recent open house and took photos
of it.

Davis objected to the game, saying it was offensive.

Among the game captions: “You forget to clean your white robe so you
can’t go to the lynching. You are punished. Move back two spaces.”

A school spokeswoman said she’s looking into the matter.
