These two exhibitions focus on the local and national struggles for quality
education in black communities during the era of legal segregation in South
Carolina and black New Yorkers 200 year struggle for quality education in
New York City.

*Courage: The Vision to End Segregation, the Guts to fight for It was
created by the Levine Museum of the New South, Charlotte, North Carolina and
made possible by a generous grant from Bank of America.
