I was contacted today by an online company that has a free pet transport bid site at http://www.uship.com/ship/livestock/. Animal owners can list any animal they need shipped--dogs, sheep, goats, whatever--and in turn they receive bids from feedback-rated pet transporters.
If any of you decide to give this a try next time you need to ship sheep, please share your results with the list. It sounds like a good concept.
