Last week King, our Barbados wether (almost three months old and a
bottle baby) started in with severe scours. I called the vet and he had
me give him four doses of biosol 12 hours apart. By Saturday night he
was also having an occasional barking cough (particularly after having a
bottle) and some yellow nasal discharge (not a lot, but some).
Thursday, when the diarrhea first started (I forgot to say we also had
a fecal done at the vet right away, and it was negative for any and all
parasites) he was feeling hot and was somewhat lethargic and was not
drinking all of his bottle.
He seemed to feel a lot better over the weekend but the diarrhea was
still as bad as ever (brown, liquid, mucous-y).
Yesterday his stool was starting to gain just a BIT of form and he is
definitely feeling fine, except for the occasional barking cough and the
nasal discharge. He's playing, hopping, attention seeking (can you tell
he lives in the upstairs bathroom?) etc.
The vet prescribed two injections for me to give either sub cu or im
today...I gave him the first one earlier today. It says "Nu Flor" and
I'm not really sure what it is cause I didn't get a chance to talk to
him- he left the med for us to pick up before he went out on calls.
I think he was suspecting he might be getting pneumonia
Anyone else experienced anything like this?
We do have two other sheep and five goats- all feeling fine, no nasal
discharge, and great little sheep and goat berries. He isn't kept with
them but he does have contact with my outdoor clothes and shoes.

Thanks
Jill (Michigan)
