You will need to edit your blackbox styles to reflect your own paths.
For example, my background path in style local version of 'Tristes' is:
rootCommand:    bsetbg -f .blackbox/backgrounds/purple_flower.jpg

However, yours could be:
rootCommand:    bsetbg -f /home/user/blackbox/BGrounds/purple_flower.jpg

(I think this answers the question you are asking, sorry if it does not)
