These are ROX issues.
A couple things for you to look at:
1) In the ROX options, the last item is marked "Compatibility". In
there are two checkboxes for "Window manager problems", the first
for overriding window manager control of the pinboard and panels,
the second for passing backdrop mouse clicks to the window
manager. The first option prevents the window manager from
starting or displaying a process for each icon and window ROX
displays; the second helps send the right mouse button clicks to
the window manager. I'm assuming you have both checked already;
otherwise you'd be getting the ROX pinboard menu when you right
click. However, if you're not, check both of these.
2) I've written a patch, available at:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=652741&group_id=7023&atid=307023
that passes all mouse events directly to the window manager. It
seems to work better than the compatability support currently in
ROX. Directions are at available on how to patch and compile at
the site.
These issues *should* disappear once the 0.70.x series of blackbox is
available (as ROX follows the netwm spec).
